Questions, answered.
What CyberRange is, how matches work, and how to get in.
What is the EEVSEC CyberRange?
CyberRange is a live, competitive cybersecurity training arena. You test your offensive and defensive skills on real, isolated machines, in real time, against a real opponent, with a state-aware AI Coach in your corner. It is not a course and not a CTF.
How is it different from a CTF?
A CTF rewards finding pre-placed flags in a static environment. CyberRange puts you in a live 1v1 match against another operator — there are no fixed answers, every match is unique, and your opponent reacts to your every move.
What are the three doctrine layers?
WAR (strategy), Ethical Hacking (craft), and Cyber Crime (the real-world threat). Every scenario runs on all three at once. See the doctrine for detail.
How much does it cost?
Two plans while we’re in pre-launch: a free tier to get on the range, and a custom enterprise tier for teams and organisations. See pricing.
How does a live PvP match work?
Two players enter one scenario and choose a side, attacker or defender. The platform provisions a separate isolated virtual machine for each of you, pairs you up, and the AI Coach watches both sides and analyses the match in real time. When it ends, you get a breakdown of what happened and what to improve.
Do you use “fake boxes” or scripted walkthroughs?
No. We reject predictable scripts and canned scenarios. Every exercise runs on real, isolated virtual machines under live pressure against a human opponent, so no two matches play out the same way.
Is the AI Coach's feedback private?
Yes. The AI Coach sits inside your own isolated session. It tracks your actions, answers your questions, and gives hints and post-match review that stay private to your account. Your opponent never sees your guidance, and you never see theirs.
What scenarios can I train on?
Six environments, each modelled on a real-world domain: IoT and semiconductor, digital forensics, cloud and zero-trust, adversarial AI, red and blue automation, and SCADA/ICS critical infrastructure. See the scenarios overview for details.
Who is CyberRange for?
Security teams and SOC analysts drilling incident response, learners and students building real skill, universities running hands-on labs, and recruiters who want to see how people actually think under pressure rather than read a resume.
How do I get access?
CyberRange is in pre-launch. Join the waitlist to reserve your spot and be first in when the arena opens.
How do you handle my data and refunds?
We collect only what we need and never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details and your rights. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, with refund terms set out in our Refund Policy Cookie Policy Cookie preferences Security.
